Sun smiled and stepped up beside Ami, "I asked because you looked like you were taking a break .. from people."
Still toying with the locket, Ami gave Sun a sheepish grin, "Am I that transparent?"
"I do not know so much about transparent," Sun replied, "But I think that it is what I would be doing if I were you."
The quiet, unspoken acknowledgement of Ami's telepathic abilities did not escape her notice. Ami nodded, "That is a large part of it. It's been … a day."

/Kenzaki needs someone who needs his protection. Someone he can be a hero for. Me? He just doesn't get it. I can tell him the word /bakemono/--monster--but he still won't get it. I'm probably the person on this island least in need of anyone's protection. Lessons on how to act human and deal with human emotions, yes, but not protection. What I need is--a brother in arms./
She blinked as Scott suddenly looked distracted. "Everything cool?" she asked worriedly. She hadn't heard any psychic screams, but she knew she was barely aware of such things, whereas Scott...yeah.

"Um, yeah," Scott replied. He pitched his voice low for Ripley's sharp ears. "Ami's ticked off about something. It's not a big deal." Then he widened his gaze to include Kenzaki. "Should we continue the Japanese/English lessons? It's either that or charades."

"Charades? Sorry, not familiar. But I could tell you guys some of my funnier spacing stories. We can practice Japanese and English as we go."
It would give Scott and Kenzaki both more of a chance to understand her weirdass view of this world, and probably be fun as well.
Of course, being stoned, she didn't consider who else might be listening in....
