MOD POST: Posting Information

Dec 20, 2009 20:07

Okay, posting starts tomorrow; this community is moderated, so I will be approving each post starting tomorrow evening. There are a few rules:

1 - You must post your fic and art directly to the community; once it's been approved, you can post it elsewhere. It doesn't matter how many parts you need to post for your fic to be up completely; I will ( Read more... )

/raises hand/ I said I needed to post on the 21st or 22nd since those are the only days I have open on my LJ.

Unfortunately my art won't be ready until the 22nd so that's when I'd like to go up if that can be worked out.

LMK.

Thanks.

I'll approve you on the 22nd as long as all the parts of your fic is up and the art is posted as well. You can post your fic tomorrow so that all I need to do is wait for the art on the 22nd, if you want.

I'll probably do it all at once on the 22nd. Do you know what time of day you might approve? I don't want to miss my window to get it up on the 22nd.

Thanks.

I'll probably try and do it around 7 or 8 PM PST because I won't get home from work until 6 PM.

Oh, I thought we were just supposed to post the masterlist here?

Just spent the weekend preparing my post on my lj ;-), under private, so that it's ready for posting. Guess that means I'll have to do it all over.

We want you to post directly so that even if your personal journal or writing community disappears we still have the fic on the community.

So artists have to post their art separately?

I'm not sure I understand what you mean with 'directly on the comm'.
I already have all the posts done on my lj, I jst have to unlock them, since I'm used to only linking the masterpost to the comm once the posting date arrives.
Furthermonre, I've made some sort of art post, since we agreed with the artist that we'd do so.

Please post the art separately from your fic. If you make the post that's fine, but it needs to be separate.

Also, we are allowing masterlists to be posted, so post that instead of posting each piece of fic directly to the comm.

I thought we could post our fic to our own journal and post the masterlist here? My fic is over 55,000 words, fifteen chapters. To post it directly here would take at least six posts, which I'll have to do all over again in my own journal. Once more, I need to put this fic up in my own journal within the next couple days no matter what. The next few weeks will be very busy for me and I can't be waiting and thinking about posting this fic all that time. I wish I'd known this is how things were going to work; I probably should have dropped out and just posted my fic on my own.

No one ever made art for my fic. I just made some myself.

I apologize about no one making art for you.

There is a change to how to post the fic to the community, so check out the newest post here for details. It involes a masterlist, so you should be happy with that.
