Recon, recon, recon. There was so much to discover and look at that she didn't even know where to begin. The forest was by far the most interesting place and that was where she had just come out of. It was unnerving that everything was so big, but that was what made it feel worth looking at. In away, it wasn't that much different from being small in the Wonderland that she knew. Except when the forest thinned out and things were starting to look her size again, she didn't expect to come across a village.

She didn't like what she saw though. Xion was afraid to talk to anyone without a face. Even friendly ones. And the first thing she noticed about Vincent would have been his face if she hadn't noticed someone was sleeping on the ground in broad daylight. Hesitantly she approached him and crouched beside him.

"Hey, people are stepping around you - do you usually sleep like that? Are you sick?"

Sleeping, he semed to be rather oblivious to things around him at times when he was fallen under one of those heavy sleeps that could seem dreamless once awoken from. Sometimes they were light, allowing him to be only vaguely aware of people moving around him. Perhaps now he could be somewhere in the middle, aware and yet unaware of anything as the people stepping around him had not disturbed him.

Vincent had not moved when the girl approached, nor when she crouched down. The only sign that he was alive were the rise and falls of his chest. Incoherent murmurings were spoken softly under his breath, then finally a light twitching to white gloved fingers.

If the girl's words were reaching him, the man gave no sign of it.

If he had said something she didn't understand it. His fingers moved, but that wasn't much to go on. She removed a glove from one of her hands and and gently pushed back his hair. He didn't feel too warm, but wasn't everyone's body temperature different? In any case, she should probably pull him out of the way of where people were walking. She certainly wasn't strong enough to lift him, but she could grab him under the arms and drag him. And she did.

She eventually reached a grassy patch that was probably someone's yard, but she'd worry about that only if someone complained. She let go of his arms and sat down to rest. Now what? Was there an inn around here? And even if there was should she leave him? She'd wait a while. It was still day light, he might wake up.

Vincent moved, very slightly, from the gentle touch of a hand. Normally in his adulthood he never enjoyed touch unless he was the one who had initiated the contact and would lash out. In his sleeping state, he did more than make another sound and turn his head away slightly. However, when she started to drag him the sounds he made became more than just a little disgruntled, as if he was an unruly child that didn't wish to be moved and was too stubborn to do more than make noises about it ( ... )
