Simulacra
The longer you live with the simulacra, the harder it becomes to remember what the real thing was. My mother is, now, an abstract concept. The real her was far more complex than any of my memories, & in time, even my memories will become more distant & less defined. The tide rolls in & out, slowly erasing our scribbles in the sand. Fast forward
It is late and I am drunk. How I ever managed to remember this password is beyond me. I miss this blog. It looks like it is about a week shy of two years since I did anything on here.

Bonnaroo Sun the 17th & Mon the 18th
Sunday the 17th:
The last day! As soon as we woke up we started packing up. I cannot express how excited I was at the promise of a real bed. Jake took off early so we finished the packing. It wasn't until after we were done with breakfast that he showed up to eat. Then we went into Centeroo.

Bonnaroo Saturday the 16th
Saturday the 16th:
Here we go! This is the biggest music day. First thing is one of those awesome breakfast sandwiches! After breakfast we wandered for a while. The problem is that the sun wakes you before 8AM but nothing gets going until noon or so. We loitered in the shady places. A couple different tents.

Bonnaroo Friday the 15th
Friday the 15th:
Our first big day at Bonnaroo. So excited for Tool! The first big discovery of the day was in the form of a delicious breakfast sandwich. This has spawned conversation of getting one of those back to basic toasters that do it all for you. So yummy.

Finally we entered Tennessee. It is quite beautiful. There are expansive rolling hills and lush landscapes full of trees and shrubs.

We left for Bonnaroo just before noon. Our first stop was in Wisconsin Dells to have Rocky Rococo's Pizza. It was very yummy and plentiful.

Why can't I get the cut feature to work any more? -
When did you miss the point that you missed the point?
Last night we watched the DVD for At War With the Mystics by Flaming Lips.
I am so bummed out. The whole damn thing had some skinny naked chick dancing around. WTF.
I feel like I've been lied to. Just another example of someone who gets it, not fully getting it.
