Romance is a much maligned genre that I personally like. The fics I like best are usually not in any one genre, but a combination of plot, romance, action/adventure, intrigue, suspense, angst, humor... you get the picture. There aren’t many, yet there are surprisingly more than one would hope. It’s awesome.

You know, I'm tired sick of people in the XMFC fandom accusing anyone who doesn't write Charles in a wheelchair of ableism. No, really. First of all, there are plenty of fics with Charles as a paraplegic. In fact, some of the best stories in this fandom are. But more importantly, I don't get this accusation for people writing AUs.
