it was one of the times that I was glad that I played it straight and didn't play the "I'm from Canada" card.

if you were there you would've seen an exquisite mixture of bemusement and frustration swirling on my face.

the kid did have a vague trace of a Commonwealth area accent and his (cousin?/partner?/sidekick?) kinda nodded when I looked at him. My personal preference was also that the kid was legit, so I just let it lie.
