Icon Request Post

Mar 26, 2009 16:08

They are all shareable with the exception of those with usernames (numbers: 1 & 56 ) and of course numbers 64-67 & 70-72 since those were made for twinsfan33 using her ( Read more... )

:bows: Thank you! The Twilight ones were fun to work with in terms of the coloring.

Gorgeous batch! You're really really improving, practically with each post you make. :-D It's quite neat to watch!

I love #s. 11 (perfect crop!), 12 (coloring), 13 (coloring and great texture), 22 (I ♥ this, and may have to snag it...), coloring on all the Twilight ones, and your texture usage on PotO is superb. If you boosted the contrast on Christine's face just a tad on #50 and #56, it would be perfection. ;-)

And this is freaky, but while I was waiting for the pics to load I noticed the "comic book dot" texture on #4 and I was thinking that you should do some TDK icons sometime. I was shocked to see Gordon! Even though IIRC that's Batman Begins and not TDK. (what was the request on those, Gordon, or Gary Oldman?)

I'm like a work in progress. LOL! For some of the black and whites I really did try to up the contrast but it just looked strange so I went with it as best I could. I am glad you like them. =D

That is freaky! It was a request for Gordon and I was given 3 images to work from. I would try my hand at TDK icons, but I refuse to see the movie. I just can't bring myself to see Heath in it plus the Joker on a whole has always freaked me out. LOL!

Aren't we all? ;-) I know I certainly am!

Black and white icons are haaaarrrrd, IMO. They're a lot more difficult than colored ones and even when you think you get to a place where you know how to handle them, you'll get an image that refuses to cooperate, or at least that's what happens to me!! Typically fiddling with curves helps mine out a lot, and putting a black layer set to overlay is another thing that helps IMO.

Oh, no!! Really? He certainly is freakishly creepy, but he's supposed to be that way. I know a lot of people were sad to be seeing Heath's last performance, but he did earn an Oscar by it, and he did such a fabulous job that I think it would be a shame for anyone to miss it. But you don't have to listen to me, I ( ... )

I hadn't thought to use a black layer set to overlay. Must try that out! I usually prep the base as much as possible then use a gradient map to do the black and white because I think it gives you much better contrast and then I fiddle with a color balance layer.

One day I'll see TDK-I promise you! Oooh-How were the costumes?
