Thank you so much! I really appreciate the feedback! <3

I was hoping that people would understand Watson's conflicting emotions, which are sort of flip-flopping between despair, anger, and awe, so I'm glad you think so! The hardest part of writing in first person is remembering that he's also writing it, rather than experiencing it for the first time, but I'm trying to imitate ACD's style, which is very similar.

I think the problem with proposing something between Watson and the marquis is that I tried to use the word "relationship", which is way too permanent and yeah, long term, for what I really intend. As I told someone else, this isn't anything big, just a way for Watson to maintain some form of control over the craziness that has become his life.

:D Thanks for reading and your awesome input! <3

Ooooh, another great chapter! I love how awed Watson is by everything, and yet his thoughts keep coming back to Holmes. I also really like how you show the Marquis to be not really taking pity on Watson, but still making it his responsibility to make sure nothing happens to everyone's favorite doctor. Really great writing as always. The details that you have Watson noticing really makes his compassionate and curious personality shine. I love it! Keep up the great writing! :)
