I'm really, really not a trekkie. I never liked Star Trek - I always found it dry and boring when I was flipping through tv channels and would almost immediately change the channel. I saw one of the movies on a plane, once, and even as a captive audience member, I still don't remember finding it particularly interesting (I don't even remember the plot)! In fact, for a long time, Star Trek was kind of the symbol of all that was wrong with science fiction for me. BSG was like, the best thing that ever happened to me as a nerd ;)
But this movie? I am so freaking excited. It looks amazing. It looks exciting. It looks interesting and fresh and epic and--- EXPLOSIONS, WHEE!
So basically, I am sooooooooooooo glad to hear that you enjoyed it :D
I had a feeling Sylar would be totally awesome this season, but the season just started so slow! I'm having a hard time getting into it, and little things are really turning me off. I'm getting incredibly sick of Claire's rebelliousness and immunity to consequence, as well as Nathan's asshole-ness. Even Hiro is grating on me this season, and we all know how much I love Hiro! I might give it a second chance, but after the "Girls don't go to comic shops" bit, it's nearly broken its own thin ice...
I can't wait to see Star Trek again! It's so fantastic that I know both Trekkies and non alike will both love it! It's totally a must-see.

I want to see it! My mom was (and still is!) a Trekkie. I blame her for all of my sci-fi nerdiness.
