Currently watching Kenneth Branagh's Hamlet with Candice, Jes, and Maxwell.  Throwback to high school, woo!  This movie gets no better with age.  Just you wait until Robin Williams enters and does nothing funny.  Though we did just all yell "Get it Claudius!" and "Why is Hamlet rapping?"  Oh my goodness this movie, I think it's gotten worse.

I'm finally all settled at school, even though I've been here since Monday.  It just took a very long time to get everything squared away, especially since I had SART training Tuesday through Thursday.  Our SART (Sexual Assault Response Team) program is new, so we don't really know too much about how it is going to work, logistically-speaking.  ( Read more... )

Weird moment: I was in Lowe's the other day buying myself a dorm fridge, and Alela Diane started playing on the loudspeaker.  Nottt exactly the soundtrack I was expecting, but snaps for whoever made that decision.

So I've actually been watching some TV lately.  Uh, lots of M*A*S*H and Mythbusters at the Cape (also, filed under "bad decisions that I continue to make": Shark Week), but now I am back in the Land Before Cable so I am watching Merlin.  I am enjoying it somewhat against my will.  I feel like it's written by someone with a vague idea of Arthurian ( Read more... )
