New job

I got a new job. There was a patrolman spot available, so I took it. I think this will be a better fit for me than my previous job. After all, I get paid to help people out and stop troublemakers now, and that's similar to being a mercenary. It's really just the source of the income that's different

Being a mercenary and being a patrolman are two very different things. You don't have a choice as a patrolman. You can't turn down an opponent several times stronger than you, even if such a contest is futile. Do you understand? If there's a threat, you'll be among the first in danger.

I understand fully. But I don't think it will come to that. Silv is in prison, and none of the other likely offenders are stronger than he was. Also, I'm not the only patrolman in town. There are four others, all of whom are good at what they do. If someone strong does show up, then we can stop that person by working as a team.
