Yabu Kota was enjoying his once in a blue moon complete eight hours sleep in the middle of the night until...
"Kou~chan Kou~chan~" the cellphone suddenly goes off leaving a dumbstruck owner behind for a few seconds. Nevertheless, he managed to pick up the phone and answer it to yell at the person on the other side of the line - the only one who would call him at this unholy hour.
"What is it Kei?! Why are you calling me so late - again?!"
"Did you hear your new ringtone~?"
"New ring- oh that. I wouldn't be awake if I didn't hear it you know. Why did you record YOUR VOICE calling MY NAME and changed MY RINGTONE?"
"I thought you would like it~ Don't you like it?"
"I...think I would've pretended that I did if you called me in the morning, NOT in the midnight. You know how important this rare chance to sleep and now you blew it."
"Meanie~ won't you ask how I did it?"
"You have too many ways and chances that I wouldn't be surprised"
"Teehee~! You'll hear that frequently from now on. No use changing it because I asked Dai-chan's help"
"Figures. It’s such a shame that I have to hear your voice EVERY SINGLE CALL."
"You don't really mean that~ Besides you'll only hear that when I call - not when the others call you"
"Oh that makes me feel better considering how you hog my phone line most of the time"

And just like that Inoo drifted to sleep while Yabu whined about how he is interrupted and struggled to sleep until morning.

Yabu was soaking himself in his bathtub as the cinnamon bath salt invigorated his senses - his sleep- deprived state slowly being forgotten as he relaxed. That was until his phone rang - again.
"Kei? Could we talk later? I-"
"Kou-chan! Hurry downstairs! Something terrible happened and I-"
Beep. Beep. Beep.
"Hello?! Hello?! Kei?"
Without a second thought, he got out of the bathroom and sprinted downstairs. When he reached the sala area, Inoo and Daiki were laughing; he didn't understand why they were clenching their stomachs so hard until his logic comes back: he's been had. And its not only him. Another man is standing inches away from him - his eyes furious while tears are on the verge of falling.
"My Hika-chan is faster! What took you so long Yabu-kun?" Daiki said after he regained himself.
"Its not good to declare Hikarunrun as the winner yet. The location of Hikarunrun's bathroom is nearer than Kou-chan's. Not fair!"
"Alright, alright. We're draw now. Besides, we learned something new...The best friends are just the same in times of emergencies"
"What do you mean?" Inoo asked with an innocent face as if he did not know yet.
And as soon as Daiki stared at the lower parts of Hikaru and Yabu, Yabu himself knew what they were talking about. They're barenaked. No underpants, no towels, just their thin selves. Inoo just let out an "Oh" as if to say that he only got it and started laughing again with Daiki.
"I hate you!" Hikaru ran back to the direction where he came from.
"You'll regret this - both of you" Yabu muttered under his breath as he too dashed towards the bathroom where he came from.

Yabu and Hikaru were discussing something about their upcoming performances; so naturally they can't be disturbed. But aside from that, they emit another aura that keeps the rest of the JUMP members away - they're both furious. These auras didn't stop the culprits approaching them though.
"Hika-chan"
"Arioka-san, could you please not disturb us?" Yabu replied.
"Kou-chan, why are you answering for Hikarunrun? And what's with the honorifics?"
"Inoo-san, please don't disturb us. We're busy." Hikaru answered
Daiki and Inoo just looked at each other
as they realized what the other two were doing: ignoring them. And not just plainly ignoring them - they had each other as the spokesperson of another. Add the fact that they were calling them by their surnames, using honorifics. This couldn't irritate Inoo more and so he devised a plan to make Yabu talk to him. Knowing that Daiki would be equally annoyed at the sudden reaction of the two, he whispered the plan to Daiki who agreed almost immediately. After careful planning (and a lot of convincing to chase the other JUMP members away from their dressing room), they approached Yabu and Hikaru again who seemed immersed in their own discussion.
"Hikarunrun!~"
"Inoo-san, did I not tell you not to disturb us?! We're at an important time so please..."
"Well, I just figured out that I should help as Chinen lost his frog in this very room. Can you tell me if you found it? He seems pretty desperate."
"W-what?! Why would Chii bring that THING?! D-d-do something about it, Kei!" Yabu suddenly exclaimed jumping from his seat.
"Believe me Chinen-kun would already appreciate us helping - and helping is doing something.Apparently, Chinen needs it for his biology class to disect." Daiki answered. "Oh. And I need to tell you Yabu-kun that Shintaro bought a cat and Ryutaro borrowed it. It seemed to be lost somewhere in this room too so please bring them back to Ryutaro before Shintaro finds out"
"C-c-c-cat?! Dai-chan! Help!!!" Hikaru panicked.
"Oh so you're helping us? That's great, Hikarunrun. Just bring the frog to Chinen and the cat to Ryu-chan okay?"
"You're wrong Kei! We won't help looking for the cat or the filthy fr-"
"Oh! There it is! The FROG! Catch it, Yabu-kun!" Daiki interrupted Yabu.
"ahhhhh! Kei! Catch it and take it away! Plea-"
"And there is the CAT! Help me catch it, Hikarunrun!" Inoo interrupted Yabu this time.
"DAI-CHAAAAAN!!!" Hikaru exclaimed.
The chase for both the frog and cat goes on while Daiki and Inoo successfully ignored Yabu and Hikaru. The magnificent plan worked - they know the 2 will be frustrated if they are ignored in their time of need. A beautiful execution of using the same manner that Yabu and Hikaru used on them - except for the honorifics. Its just too hard for them to adjust on the names.
After almost half an hour of chasing and screaming, Inoo and Daiki finally caught the creatures that almost took the consciousness of the other two away. But as they caught it, they approached the two frightened beings who barely moved - either frozen by fear, tired from running, or both. Yabu and Hikaru knew they've lost again against Inoo and Daiki. And now they have to say the one word that they wanted to hear from them to avoid the 'lethal weapon' the two has.
"SORRY!" Yabu and Hikaru shouted at the same time as they closed their eyes and braced themselves for the worst.
"So you're talking to us now?" Inoo snickered. Inoo and Daiki put the frog in the jar and the cat in its cage.
"We've been talking to you since the very beginning Kei!!" Yabu answered back. He can't help opening his eyes in rage, only to notice that their sources of fear were safely taken away.
"Since the VERY Beginning?" Daiki replied now with a raised eyebrow and a sarcastic tone.
"Oh please Dai-chan. Both of you started THIS!" It was Hikaru's turn to lose control as he too opened his eyes - only to witness the same thing as Yabu.
"But you don't have to ignore us like that! You both know that we would be completely annoyed!" Inoo shouted back losing all composure.
"If we didn't, then you wouldn't have felt and said sorry but apparently, you're only annoyed!" Yabu shouted back. Silence grew after that.
"T-that...I...We..." Daiki tried finding an excuse to no avail. He was usually good at this as he learned from Inoo but now, his mind is totally blank. Daiki looked at Inoo as the latter nodded back at the former, knowing exactly what both of them should do next.
"We're sorry" Daiki and Inoo said at the same time.
"We're sorry for the sala incident" Inoo said
"And for the incident today too." Daiki continued.
"Today?! You mean the frog and t-the c-c-cat?!" Hikaru replied with a shocked expression.
"Come on, Hikaru! Don't tell me you realized it just now" Yabu said to Hikaru as the latter's eyes were bulging due to the former's statement.
"H-how...From when...did you know?" Its Daiki's turn to open his eyes wide.
"Unfortunately, Yabu here is too smart for our own good - he only have his dumb moments when reptiles are involved. But I'm pretty sure that he didn't know that we actually told Chinen and Ryutaro that their respective pets got out of the room which resulted to the other JUMP members helping them find those" Yabu felt sorry for the youngsters as Inoo told them the story.
"Now that you know...Can you forgive us?" Daiki pleaded after a few seconds with puppy eyes that he learned from Chinen. Inoo joined him in pleading which didn't leave much choice to the offended ones.
"Alright, alright. You're forgiven. Both of you. Just don't do this again, you hear?" Hikaru said as Yabu only nodded in agreement. As Daiki and Inoo prepared to leap and hug Hikaru and Yabu, a knock was heard and the door swung open.
"Yabu-san, Yaotome-san, the director is looking for you two. Proceed to the studio immediately" The assistant shut the door as soon as he relied the director's message.
And the ones called by the director were struck by a painful truth - they haven't finished their plan yet because they were interrupted. The culprits just flashed their most apologetic smiles as another game of chase ensued.

Yabu Kota was asked out by Takaki Yuya. Well not exactly a date since Takaki only asked Yabu's help for buying the gift for the former's boyfriend. Yabu being the great friend that he is, happily complied even though he is tired yesterday physically and mentally c/o Inoo and Daiki.
Never did he imagine that Inoo would storm in the store where he and Takaki is, grab him on the wrist, yell at Takaki saying "Go grab your own boyfriend when you want to go shopping!", and go out of the store seconds later leaving a dumbfounded Takaki and gossiping shoppers behind.
As soon as they got out of the shop, Inoo asked Yabu to eat with him. Yabu couldn't help but smile and nod as they grabbed something to eat. Yabu knows that Inoo got jealous of Takaki for who-knows-what. And as much as he wants to help Takaki personally, he wouldn't want Inoo to be hurt. He just sent a text message saying:
Yuuyan, sorry for leaving you this early. But I think that the squirrel stuffed toy that you kept your eye on is a good choice. :D Forgive Kei for interrupting us.
As soon as he pressed the 'SEND' button, he closed his flip phone and entered the fastfood chain with Inoo

"Kou-chan? Am I interrupting you again?" Inoo asked as he entered Yabu's room on their current hotel later that same evening when they got out on an unexpected date.
"No. Why? I thought that you were going to sleep once we're here?" Yabu said his eyes still closed while lying on his bed. Smiling.
"Well...I really can't sleep...I-I thought that this would be easy as we're not really official or anything..."
"Where is this going?" The smile disappeared on Yabu's face.
"What...What are we exactly?" Inoo continued "Am I just a friend, a brother?"
"We...are what we are...What's wrong? Why are you acting like this?" Yabu's eyes were now open, looking at Inoo's eyes.
"I-I...just figured you'd want to know that I'll be going abroad as an exchange architecture student...tomorrow"
"What?!" Yabu got up his bed and stared at Inoo's sad face.
"I'm sorry that I didn't tell you earlier...I didn't feel that I needed too..."
"Then why tell it to me now?!"
"I...don't even know why. Its easier if I left just like this but..." Inoo couldn't continue anymore as tears now stain his face but still pushed himself "I want to tell you personally to take care and have a good life" Inoo took off.
Yabu was left where he was - digesting all of it. He thought that Inoo could be lying but his body won't move towards Inoo's room to confront him about it. All because of one question - Who is Inoo Kei to a Yabu Kota? He needs an answer - fast. The party involved would leave the country the next day and this built up to the frustration that Yabu is already feeling.
"How am I supposed to sleep when you're interrupting me in my thoughts?" Yabu said aloud although he knows that nobody could hear him.

Yabu Kota fell asleep as soon as he got an answer he's contented with - which is around 5 am. Which explains why he is panting after running around the airport - he is late and he didn't even know which flight Inoo is in.
When all hopes are gone, Yabu caught sight of the beautiful pale boy going inside. He started running fast towards the guy and shouted at the top of his lungs:
"Inoo Kei!"
The confused boy looked back, only to feel a pair of soft lips brush against his own. Inoo was only able to blink his eyes a lot of times until Yabu pulled out.
"Shut Up!" Yabu said.
"W-what?! You're the-"
"I said, shut up! Stop repeating like a damaged record that can't go on to the next line of the song! Quit flashing your smiles, whines, and tears while I try to sleep. Stop disturbing me in my thoughts because its annoying!"
"D-did you just say...In your thoughts?! Then...Then...Stop thinking about me!"
"I can't! When I like someone my mind is always occupied by that person. I just...can't"
After a moment of silence, Yabu continued. "I like you, Inoo Kei. I...I...want to be your boyfriend..."
More silence engulfed the atmosphere until Inoo finally broke it off "You do realize that even if I agree to be your boyfriend, I would still go"
"Yeah. I know" Yabu replied after a while.
"I'd feel sad alone there"
"I know"
"I may...find someone else"

"And you still want to be my boyfriend?!"
"Yes."
Inoo couldn't help but cry. His frustration and joy were let out all at once. The other lad held him close - this comforted the younger one.
"I'm annoying. I'll always interrupt you from doing something productive."
"Still going to push that? If you won't interrupt me, you're not the guy I like" They both chuckled at this.
They just remained like that until the final call for Inoo's flight came. They won't be crying like they did a moment before. Because even if they'll be apart for 6 months or so, they now have this assurance that they could go through it - they're together.

"Well...I really can't sleep...I-I thought that this would be easy as we're not really official or anything..."
"Where is this going?" The smile disappeared on Yabu's face.
"What...What are we exactly?" Inoo continued "Am I just a friend, a brother?"
"We...are what we are...What's wrong? Why are you acting like this?" Yabu's eyes were now open, looking at Inoo's eyes.
"I-I...just figured you'd want to know that I'll be going abroad as an exchange architecture student...tomorrow"
"What?!" Yabu got up his bed and stared at Inoo's sad face.
"I'm sorry that I didn't tell you earlier...I didn't feel that I needed too..."
"Then why tell it to me now?!"
"I...don't even know why. Its easier if I left just like this but..." Inoo couldn't continue anymore as tears now stain his face but still pushed himself "I want to tell you personally to take care and have a good life" Inoo took off.
Yabu was left where he was - digesting all of it. He thought that Inoo could be lying but his body won't move towards Inoo's room to confront him about it. All because of one question - Who is Inoo Kei to a Yabu Kota? He needs an answer - fast. The party involved would leave the country the next day and this built up to the frustration that Yabu is already feeling.
"How am I supposed to sleep when you're interrupting me in my thoughts?" Yabu said aloud although he knows that nobody could hear him.

Yabu Kota fell asleep as soon as he got an answer he's contented with - which is around 5 am. Which explains why he is panting after running around the airport - he is late and he didn't even know which flight Inoo is in.
When all hopes are gone, Yabu caught sight of the beautiful pale boy going inside. He started running fast towards the guy and shouted at the top of his lungs:
"Inoo Kei!"
The confused boy looked back, only to feel a pair of soft lips brush against his own. Inoo was only able to blink his eyes a lot of times until Yabu pulled out.
"Shut Up!" Yabu said.
"W-what?! You're the-"
"I said, shut up! Stop repeating like a damaged record that can't go on to the next line of the song! Quit flashing your smiles, whines, and tears while I try to sleep. Stop disturbing me in my thoughts because its annoying!"
"D-did you just say...In your thoughts?! Then...Then...Stop thinking about me!"
"I can't! When I like someone my mind is always occupied by that person. I just...can't"
After a moment of silence, Yabu continued. "I like you, Inoo Kei. I...I...want to be your boyfriend..."
More silence engulfed the atmosphere until Inoo finally broke it off "You do realize that even if I agree to be your boyfriend, I would still go"
"Yeah. I know" Yabu replied after a while.
"I'd feel sad alone there"
"I know"
"I may...find someone else"
"I...I know"
"And you still want to be my boyfriend?!"
"Yes."
Inoo couldn't help but cry. His frustration and joy were let out all at once. The other lad held him close - this comforted the younger one.
"I'm annoying. I'll always interrupt you from doing something productive."
"Still going to push that? If you won't interrupt me, you're not the guy I like" They both chuckled at this.
They just remained like that until the final call for Inoo's flight came. They won't be crying like they did a moment before. Because even if they'll be apart for 6 months or so, they now have this assurance that they could go through it - they're together.
