Not poisonous but he's going to have one very upset tummy. You might try mixing a bit of cornstarch into something he'll drink -- it will help soak up the oils and keep them from hurting his belly more than they have already.

You asked me about the wheat cat litter once: It didn't work properly for our cats. For some reason, it encouraged bugs, even if scooped regularly and replaced appropriately. I don't recommend it at all.

I' using World's Best litter now; it's expensive but doesn't seem to attract bugs and keeps the odour down.
