It's nearly 1 am and the sea front outside our window is hopping -- we can hear children, by the sounds of it quite young, shouting and laughing away. Luckily the pounding music of passing cars is somewhat less than last night. Tomorrow to Himera where the Greeks defeated and were defeated by the Carthaginians. One reason I liked living in Little Italy was that there were always people around so it felt quite safe coming home late.

Little E is a proper little person now.

So, like, should I wait until you return to this continent? Cause his Auntie wants to gift him on this accomplishment of reaching his first birthday.

oh how lovely of you! well we don't have a mailing address quite yet, though we will be in a fixed place by Sept 22 and will have an address for there. If you were thinking of sending something he would use up in the next few months (like wrapping paper and ribbons, which he loves!!!!), please do but if it's something more long term, might be better to save it for Christmas when we come through TO? Yes the night life is nice and family based in Italy, it seems to me.
