Unfortunately, the Republicans made it a feminist thing by calling out all the women (whether they were feminists or not) who were questioning or criticizing Sarah Palin. And then - this is the best part - they tried to play the feminist card when Obama used "putting lipstick on a pig" (which originally referred to a McCain economic plan - speaking of which, he got the line from McCain, who used it last year to describe Hillary Clinton's health care plan). *facepalm* IMO, Republicans and McCain forfeited the right to use the feminist card long before they chose Sarah Palin as their Bitch Queen Conservative Messiah.
I'm worried that I'm taking such glee in verbal evisceration over politics o.o
They forfeited their right in my opinion when they made light over the media focusing on hilary clinton's cleavage. You can't say it's ok when it's not happening to you but cry foul when it is.
It was the only strong female figure of primitive badassery who I could think of at the moment D: Looking back now, I probably should have used Wonder Woman, but that wouldn't have signified a sort of return to primal urges >.>

McCain forfeited his right as far back as 1992, when he called his wife a trollop and a cunt in front of the press.
