Wow! I'm not going to lie. It hurt to read parts of this (Sasuke! D: ) but it was a very fitting end. I haven't read much (read: hardly any) NaruGaara, but this just worked. Thank you for writing it!

*snort* Me neither. XD

Thank you, I'm glad that you liked it! Sasuke's bits were painful to write too, but... It works out for him too, I think. :) Thanks for commenting!

Oh, wow!!! This is the most awesome GaaNaru fic I've ever read and one of the best fanfiction stories too! It's so subtle and bold at the same time. And your Gaara is so original, yet very IC.
And being a SasuNaru fan, I appreciate all the SasuNaru moments. Your Sasuke is a very unpleasant type)))) But I loved how it turned out with him in the end. And I'm glad Naruto's road ultimately led him to Gaara)))

Thanks! As I've already said above, I'm glad that everyone is finding Gaara IC, because he's a pain to write. A real pain.

I don't think Sasuke was much worse than he is in the series, but I did play up his less endearing traits. It's nice to know you liked it!

Thank you for the review!

Well, don't worry. It's still nice to hear it was read and liked. That's the whole point of fics, right?

This was pure ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥!!

Your recipient is a lucky one and i deeply thank you for sharing this piece with us <3

“I want to see where this will take us, together.”

Oh, Naruto... that was kinda romantic ;p but then again, it's Naruto so it makes sense that he would choose the unknown path (the one that would provide him some excitement too!! ^o^).

I like the way you portray Gaara in this piece, the Gaara freed of Shukaku and a bit awkward with his feelings and patiently (?) waiting for Naruto... <3 (sooo noble awwwwww lol)

As for Sasuke... T_________T
I pity your Post-Itachi-Back-In-Konoha Sasuke. It doesn't seem like he can ever, ever be happy. And you're right when you said that whatever he ends up choosing, he would regret the other path... (now if you had dared pull off a Mpreg, things would have been even more complicated! lol ( ... )

:) Glad to! Imma feeback hog, clearly. XD

t's Naruto so it makes sense that he would choose the unknown path

I don't think Naruto is the kind of person to feel afraid of uncertain futures, since that's what his life has been like, as a whole.

the Gaara freed of Shukaku and a bit awkward with his feelings

Writing him was a bit more of a headache because of this, I think. There were parts when I kept wondering what Kishi is going to do with the character, now that he's not a Jinchuuriki. I also wonder how much of Gaara's sheer crazy is a result of Shukaku, and how much is just a result of his upbringing. (I think the upbringing had more to do with it, but that's just my personal opinion. :3)

(now if you had dared pull off a Mpreg, things would have been even more complicated! lol).Nuuuuuu! YOU SAID THE FORBIDDEN WORD! *covers ears and closes eyes* LALALAlaLLALALLA, I CAN'T HEAR YOUUUU!!! Anyway, I also wondered how Sasuke would take the news about Gaara, but I didn't think it would fit ( ... )

Oh my God. It's wonderful.

Gaara is such a difficult character, but that's partially because we don't see enough of him in the series. We see all sides of Naruto and Sasuke, so there's really no excuse for writing them OOC, but Kishimoto has hardly shown us even the barest glimpse into the many facets of Gaara's personality. All we know is that he can be a total hardass, and maybe he's a little softer on the inside, but he never shows it. That leaves a lot to interpretation. (Perhaps that is why, when handled by a talented writer, Gaara is my favorite character, because I get to see him in so many different lights, and none of them have to be exactly right.) Regardless, I found the way you depicted Gaara very alive and believable. His hidden pain, his hope, his reactions, and his incredible bluntness... Aw! He's so sweet ( ... )

And yet... T_T *sigh*

All we know is that he can be a total hardass, and maybe he's a little softer on the inside, but he never shows it.

You're right, Gaara is very open to interpretation. There are some solid clues as to what he might be like on the inside, but nothing really definitive. It makes him fun to write, but harder to keep in line; there's not foothold, so to speak. I'm glad you liked my take on him!

How very human of him.

Well, that's something I always like to throw into fics: how human characters can be. It's something I also find in a lot of Kishi's character development, which is why I like the series so much. :)
