Blah blah...

Hey! I am back from our one week vacation in Chanioti, Chalkidiki (north Greece-but souther than my city). I relaxed for a few days at home and then my dad and I went to grandma's summer house for 2 days. It was nice.

Today I woke up at 9 am o_o because we have workers here. They are painting our walls. We had some damage because of the humidity. ( Read more... )

I'm glad you enjoyed your vacation. I sort of wish I could go somewhere on vacation, but... I have no clue where I'd go, and I'm too lazy to plan something... So, I just stay put ( ... )

Not all kinds of holidays need a lot of planning. And it's worth it if you think of the different environment, the relaxation...
Do you like the sea?

6 years..not bad at all. I don't mind the painting, but when the house is full of stuff...:/

Ah, posters with my favourite actors and singers. Harry Potter, Thalia, Natalia Oreiro, Greek actors...:)

Your room must be really interesting. :D Where do you find the dragon posters?

Thank you. I am disorganised all the time. :P

Yeah, especially for us here. They have only a selection of foreign books(mostly english), so it's difficult to find what you want. I ordered 2 english books from a store last November and I've still haven't heard from them. :I

I just think that on-line shopping isn't secure enough. I mean, except for the money, what if you never receive what you ordered?

And what can you tell me about paying?

Do you like the sea?I do like the sea (or the ocean, I suppose, in my case ;). I'm not much of a swimmer, but I still like the sound of the ocean and the atmosphere. However, a trip to the beach would definitely take some planning since I would guess it would be a six or seven hour drive at least to the coast. Part of my problem is, I don't like going so far by myself... but, I'm not really close enough to anyone to go with someone else... So, it's easier for me to just stay put, regardless of what type of vacation ( ... )

Yeah, that's the problem with the big countries.
We have lots of islands and most of the cities of the mainland are close to the sea.
I don't like travelling for a long time, so I understand that. We can have sea access in 30 mins.

even just taking down and putting back up all the posters would be a good deal of effort, not to even mention the furniture!
Ha, tell me about it! If you also consider that most of them had Sellotape which was lots of years old and I wanted to be very careful...

Did you pay for the order?
No, I didn't. Otherwise, I wouldn't leave it at that.
I went some months ago to ask what's going on, if they had forgotten it or sth. They said the books hadn't come yet and they were waiting. Yeah, right. I am not waiting anymore.

Thanks for your shopping advice, I will see what I will do and come back with more questions if I need anything.

I'm glad you had a good time on vacation! ^^

Yes, I do shop online - I've been doing so quite a lot recently. amazon.co.uk is probably my main source for English language books - it's cheaper than in the stores, they have quick delivery and because it's within the European union (unlike amazon.com) you don't run any risk of having to pay extra taxes. Amazon is obviously also good for movies and such but I usually get mine from a couple of different Swedish online stores that specialize in movies - they are competitive with each other so everything is always cheap as they're trying to have the lowest prices.

I also love Etsy!!! They have everything you could ever think about and it's all handmade and so pretty!!! You purchase directly from the sellers and other people who purchased before you leave feedback to the seller so you can see if he/she is reliable or not. I've bought quite a few things from here and I know other who have too, and as far as I know no one has had any problems. Even if you don't plan on buying anything you ( ... )

Thanks for the info! It was all very interesting!
I checked out 'Etsy' and I will certainly have it on my mind. ;)

I am not really interested in buying clothes on-line. I think that if you don't try them on, or at least see them, it doesn't work.

I will have to ask about the bank thing. I think I will find a suitable service.

Yes, I've heard that eBay is not as trustworthy, but why is that really?

Your comment was very satisfactory, thank you. :)

Ooh, renovation! I love reorganizing furniture around. It's weird at first when everything is moved, but the room feels more fresh afterwards. You should post a before/after photo!

I've never shopped online before, but there's this one site with really neat clothes so I hope to learn how to shop online soon. :)

I can't really move the furniture. They are all big and the space is not convenient.

Yeah, you should try it!
