Oy, this actually happened to me. I had 3 people in a row ask where are pay phones are. 3! And they weren’t separated by 5 minutes either, back to back. All in line at the same time. Between the first and the third, there was maybe 10 feet.

There’s this lady that came in several times complaining that her milk had gone bad. After finding out that our milk storage container was being cleaned with Pine-Sol I decided that she must be drinking the milk out of the jug and smelling Pine-Sol residue on it.

Then there’s the end of the story, which is almost more unbelievable than the beginning. Paula honestly expected the Pine-Sol to get rid of the fuel. Quite astonishing really… And by astonishing I mean appalling.

I’m enjoying telling people this story. I tend to tell it to people by saying, “Paula decided to be proactive one day so she went outside to mop.” I like saying it fairly quick, that way I get to watch as the person has to pause and think about what I just said.

Um… yeah, she dusts everything with Endust. I’ve never seen her dust open or unpackaged food with it, but packaged foods and bottled beverages, yes. Ugh.

I looked at my list of comic worthy ideas regarding Paula. There were 10. At one a week that would take me 2 and a half months to work my way through them all. I may wind up dragging them out. I’m not sure I can post about Paula every week for the next 2 and a half months.

During training Paula couldn’t keep the fact that the amount due was shown on the left side of the screen and the change is displayed on the right side and on the customer display.
