Healthy Ego
During training Paula couldn’t keep the fact that the amount due was shown on the left side of the screen and the change is displayed on the right side and on the customer display. On a couple of occasions she did in fact express frustration that the register did it’s math wrong. In order to rectify her till being off because of “the computer can’t do math right.” she began figuring out the math herself.If memory serves, she started in June. My understanding is that her till was about $200 off for the month of August. That’s not including her drive offs or the merchandise she failed to ring in.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, she’s begun blaming myself and the assistant manager for her fuck ups. To the degree that she believes that we have it out for her and are sabotaging her employment. One possible reason for this may be the fact that she’s almost old enough to be both our mothers, and in the company we both know more and hold more authority than her. I get the impression that she takes great offense to that.
