Amazing

I can't tell you how strange it feels to see a President (elect) take questions from the press and answer them intelligently.

What a long eight years it's been, that this simple presidential action makes my jaw drop.

Or, even more importantly, take questions from reporters who aren't obvious Administration plants. Jeff Gannon's crying in his Ovaltine right now, I'll wager.

You know, when I referred to Washington press corps reporters as "whores", I wasn't expecting to find that it was literally true.

I know what you mean, I was watching the press conference today and I was so impressed with the way Obama handled himself, he was just so, so presidential!

Truth be told, after the last eight years of live-action Beavis and Butt-Head reruns, he could have grabbed a reporter and ripped out the poor schlub's throat with his teeth, and it would have been an improvement.

The only thing better, though, than watching a President-Elect who makes you want to become a better communicator is reading some of the comments from blogger critics. Oh, the battle between the moderate Republicans who actually want to discuss issues and the Freepers who want to drop vowel movements is going to be grand.

It's nice to have a President-Elect who has a working brain, can speak coherently and articulate ideas, and is pleasant to listen to.
