For the sanity purposes of our archivist, and also all around amazing beta sansets, a post of the two bribes-for-icons.
You too can be bribed for icons, and for fic. And you will be. Everyone has their price, never think you don't. I just have to find the right price. AND I WILL.
I almost never use "The Cut" so here's hoping I get it right.

Hah! Holy crap, I loved these. I loved the callback to BoB in the Frank drabble, and the ending of the second one was just killer. HEE.

So...exactly HOW does one get bribed with comment-fic here?

The previous post was me asking for Frank icons. But Kaj made a few other icons. And how can I not reward icons? Until the next challenge goes up, if you reply to the previous post with an icon or two, I will write you a little something. So specificify what you would like :D

Wow, so how pompous did that read? I didn't mean it that way. It's just that I've done this a long time ago in other comms and people would just pop out something they'd cropped and not done anything to, and I didn't mean to imply that you would, just that...well. I know it sounded bitchy. It wasn't supposed to.

Also, I figure since the whole premise of this comm is that the boys are Winters and Nixon getting another chance, Bull needs to be brought along. So here he is.

Hee, no problem, I got the gist of what you were saying. Sadly, I am not at ALL skilled in the art of icon-making--my first foray into the world of Photoshop mostly was me just flailing helplessly--so I shall leave the icons to those who can, and just cheerlead on the sidelines. (Is cheerlead a word?)

How happy am I that people respond to your demands? Very happy indeed.
I am so not an icon-maker, but for more of this...

(Your Frank snippet kind of crystallises something I've been thinking about but (a) there's an element of it having been done before and (b) it could work at novel length and I'm not sure I have that kind of commitment. But I love the way it looks in my head.)

Sometimes the way it looks in our heads is better than it could ever be typed out. I just want people to know that Frank/Bull came along too. And you know, I just love Frank so much, and I like that he has kind of this weird tie thing with the boys.

Matt lets Charlie ease the kiss and pull away, and he's still grinning, and he looks so fucking happy that Matt has to step away before he does obscene and maybe illegal things to him in front of the entire restaurant.

Did I mention just how HOT I find this image? If I forgot, feel free to kick me in the head or something. Because this just leads so nicely to them building up the sexual tension ALL throughout drinks, with the two of them getting progressively handsier and really PLANNING on waiting until they got back home to do anything. But, well, MATT WAS JUST REALLY TURNED ON BY THAT KISS, OK? So really CHERYL, it isn't HIS fault that Charlie is such a good kisser that Matt had to run away to blow Charlie in the bathroom, now is it! *g*

You didn't mention it but have you taken up Om's tendency to read my mind? THAT IS TOTALLY WHAT I SAW HAPPENING but since I don't write porn (I don't so much have the knack for it) I didn't go that far. But that is totally (totes?) what I was thinking.

It's like a ghost, shoving something into his shoulder, and when he runs his fingers over that spot, he almost feels the scar that isn't there.

GOD, C. This is just...DAMN. This whole snippet is such a world of them wound together that I don't even know where to start. Once I get the freaking Fic Of Doom done, can we do some sort of past lives challenge?

Also, re: the second? a) HOT, and b) SEE TWITTER. I want my brain back now, please. That's just FREAKY.

I almost said that I love that the three of them are in this show together. O_o But um. I LOVE THE THREE OF THEM THROUGH THE AGES.

That is an excellent idea. I am going to make a writing challenge for the weekend, but I have no idea what to offer as a bribe? Ideas? Not the past lives thing, because i want that a whole separate after EPIC AU thing.

I'm also downloading Middleman. Feck.

I'm really late to the game, but I've decided to spend my Sunday reading everything you guys have got here, so bear with the onslaught of comments ;)

The Frank/Bull one is GREAT - he's a character often overlooked in the BoB fandom, and this just endears him even more. I'm just loving the cosmic connection thing you guys have established. So cool.

And tipsy Charlie... guh. and he's still grinning, and he looks so fucking happy that Matt has to step away before he does obscene and maybe illegal things to him in front of the entire restaurant.

I am not one to complain about a glut of comments. PLEASE comment to your hearts content. You may see that we have a history of occassionally LONG comment threads :D

I love Frank, and Bull. He, didn't seem to have as much an influence in the BoB world, but he was there, BUT as Frank he plays a pretty big part :D I LOVE Frank. If not for Matt and Charlie, it would be all about Frank. And the cosmic connection thing is actually integral to the whole Matt and Charlie thing, so... YAY.

Well I hate it when people read and don't comment, so even if it's like, years later, I'm still all "omg, how have I not read this yet?" XD

It's just logical, with the whole Buddhist aesthetic on Life. Finally, a fandom in which reincarnation is canon! I love it, gawd.

...plus, like, and this might be kind of shallow of me, but Charlie gets to get drunk. Do you guys find it hard to find common ground between him and Winters?

Well, there isn't much that is old in this comm :D It's only been here a month or so? IDK

Hee. Also, Charlie and fitional!Winters are different people with different life experiences, so we aren't so much looking for common ground between the two characters. It's more...that is who he was. And this is who he is. And sometimes they remember that, or have a shadow memory of that, and if Charlie has an instinct about how to handle a weapon, or prefers the heat of LA over a cooler climate, or recognises something in Matt when he hasn't ever met him, well. Maybe it's a memory, or a cosmic connection.

Also, awesome to see a new face around. Welcome! And feel free to jump in and contribute, and ask if you need anything :)
