Thanks. Beneath the smutty humour I am actually really gutted. But I can't really go there because I fear that dwelling on it will open the doors to anxiety and depression and then I'd be really fucked.

I'm in the same boat. When I saw Dr H 6 months ago he had 2 med students with him, he explained everything to them including how I am one of the more challenging cases, and how there's little that can be done. I said "is there something I could take to pep me up / get me through the fatigue on the odd day?" and he said no, because I would crash even worse afterwards, and he turned to the med students and said "or it could kill her ( ... )

no. no, fucking NO.

managing the pain and learning how (through physical therapy) to correctly use muscles to support your joints can do a LOT to keep the subluxations (dislocations) at bay. but just "working through it" will cause more damage and disability in the long run!!

what FUCKTARDS these doctors be!!!!!!

*gentle hugs* one of my friends with E-DS suspects me of it. and using the charts...well, yeah, i line up with it. but you cannot do NOTHING about it lest you injure yourself more and more.
