How to start a blog?

My days spent in marketing make me want to write something groundbreaking; something compelling that hooks the reader right from the first sentence. The more authentic part of myself says I should be writing about what's going on for me right now, without embellishment nor glamour. Whilst honest and straightforward, that does sound rather dull. I think to follow you need to set up an account and friend me. Otherwise it's RSS. I've set it up to post to fb and twitter when I make a new post so hopefully you won't miss out. :)

Hi Sarah, i like what you are doing here and you write in a way that makes me quite envious. St gregs gave me quite the complex about my ability, or more to the point lack of ability, to write. Anyhow, that aside, i wanted to say i enjoyed your post, minus the glamour, thank you for not adding any of that. i am frequently bored and switched off by glamour and find the real so much more interesting ( ... )

You write beautifully with passion, direction and authenticity. If no one ever replies to another of my blog posts again I will be happy that I inspired such a great response as yours. :)

You are most welcome to share my blog with others; it's public anyway so there are no privacy issues. It's primarily a cathartic outlet for me but if it helps others struggling with similar issues then all the better.
