For some reason I needed to know who sung 'Tin Man,' so I googled it, and yes it was America. Then like a half an hour later, my wife turned on the TV and the Wizard of Oz was on. Then, like a half hour later I was watching the Cartoon Network, and whatever I was watching mention something about 'Oz.' This has been a weird experience.

Well, I have come oh so much closer to being a homeowner today. It looks like things are going to work out, but I had better knock on wood. I'm sure something could still go wrong!

I've been insanely busy and now that I have five minutes to myself, I don't know what to do with it. Five minutes. I wonder what it is like to have one, well-paying job with insurance? That must be really nice. I can't begin to imagine it.

I can't decide if these periodic spam comments from random Russians are terribly annoying or terribly amusing. I guess I'll go with amusing, but still they are fuckers.

I'm infected by some subtle disease. Okay, it's probably just a cold. But anyway, sometimes I don't really notice it, other times my nose starts running like a river, and yet at other times I feel like I'm in space. I need rest, maybe some water.

Things didn't go well today at Chinese school. It wasn't a disaster, but I really was surprised that things had not gone as planned. I would go into the details here, but that wouldn't do any good. A little while ago my wife and I placed a bid on a house and it was accepted. It is a 60's ranch, nice walk out basement, good neighborhood and close to lots of convenient places. We did what everyone should do and hired an inspector. He found a big ol' crack in the foundation, which of course made us disappointed. We had it looked at by a few ( Read more... )

The sad thing is that after years of craving authentic (American) Mexican food, when I finally got it, it wasn't nearly as good as I wanted it to be. That's the way it always goes

I've been obsessed with Star Wars lately, be it comics, books or movies. I'll be using the comic adaptation of the Revenge of the Sith in class. Fun.
