I can't remember if I've posted here before, so if I haven't, greetings!
I agree 100% about Outsourced. The male lead is probably one of the most annoying leads I've ever come across. "Your name is Manmeet? Really? MAN-MEAT? Oh har har har, how STRANGE." Ugh. What a tool. I mean if you want to get down to it, with all the languages in the world, I'm sure something even as bland as Todd means "penis" in some language.
And yeah, WTF was that about the Bad News Bears? If it wasn't for I Love the 80s, I probably wouldn't get half the references some American shows throw out and I've lived here since I was five.
I liked Community if only because Annie punched out Jeff.
I've seen you around lj-land and now I have an excuse to friend you!
Same here. I'll friend you back.
I don't know if I really buy Annie punching Jeff, but he totally deserved it
I bought it. Mostly because she had this little running start and then kind of had to jump to reach his nose.
Oh man, but for me, Betty White made the episode. What was that thing she said when she was holding up that super bow/rifle/choking device? "I'll use this and you try and fight me off with respect!" IT WAS AWESOME.
Oh! And that super awkward/gross kiss between Britta and Jeff. Who the hell comes up with that sort of thing? It killed me.
Ugh, I know. And then he actually compared the cheese hat to their headwear. I seriously hope that show gets cancelled.
Everything in this post is THE TRUTH (ok i dont watch office and 30 rock but EVERYTHING ELSE IS TRUE!) Srsly wtf is outsourced? Twop's review warned me already of the FAIL but I had to see it for myself and by God it's even WORSE than they made it sound. I was fed up after the first 5-8 minutes. UGHHH. I hope it gets cancelled so fast it makes heads spin. and I dropped Merlin mid way through S2 because it was just not getting any better or less irritating. I only cared about Gwen anymore cause everyone else is an ass, Morgana has lost all nuance or humanity or SENSE as a character. and while I adore Morgause and she is awesome I know the canon will screw her over eventually and probably punish her for being female and against the leads before the end so Yeah. not worth it
( ... )
I seriously went into Outsourced thinking it can't be THAT bad. BUT THEN IT WAS.
I need for Merlin to finally tell someone that he has magic or I'm going to blow a gasket. If he had just told Morgana last season so she didn't feel so COMPLETELY ALONG AND HELPLESS after SHE TOLD HIM all this trouble could have been avoided.
Gwen is hardly on the show anymore. I sometimes forget she exists. And then she shows up so Arthur can make googly eyes at her. It's stupid.
I didn't hate the finale, but it made me mildly concerned. Relationship stuff can get tricky in sitcoms. There are so many people out there that start bitching the second romance starts. Oh, they're so tired of it, oh, it's boring, blah blah blah. I have a pretty high tolerance for stuff like that, I get more annoyed at the people complaining than I do the show.
BUT, Community is better when it isn't focused on the relationship stuff. Though, like seven_trees said above, the fake Britta/Jeff relationship was aces.

Re: Outsourced. Are we supposed to like that guy? How could anyone watch that show and think: "That's the kind of guy I want to hang out with".
