So, I discovered Animation Shop and it's so much more efficient at making gifs it's not even funny. Plus, it doesn't try and murder my computer the way Photoshop does. I'm just using the trail version right now, but I may go ahead and spring for the real thing. It's not that pricey and gif making is kind of super fun. Unless there is a free ( Read more... )

Subs are out for the first Nodame Cantabile movie and I'm pretty psyched to have Nodame and Chiaki back on my screen. I didn't like it when Yahoo announced that they were going to delete all of the Geocities pages last year. It felt like burning down a library: a library full of obnoxious tiled backgrounds, midis, and animated gifs, but a library none the less. I read the first book of the Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare: City of Bones. And like jennekohan said, it was pretty entertaining. It was an easy read and Clare developed some interesting characters and did a decent job of world-building. But, it's a YA novel she it really wasn't that challenging. I think I'm going ahead and drop out of Nano. I broke 30k words, but it's just so infinitely frustrating for me.
