I didn't do TLC's predictions page to lock in what I think will happen and have legal bragging rights later. However, there are a few wild theories (totally spoiler free, since I know nothing) that I want to throw in before I know for sure. If any of these come true and I didn't establish it, I will be pissed.

I knew there was a reason I hung out in this corner of fandom. We want a HAPPY ending. Y'know, where the hero lives and gets his girl and things turn out like a fairy tale, because that's what the books ARE?

That was the entire spoof - it was a LONG time ago on SQ. They did a lines we'll never see thread, I believe, or possibly a contest, and that was my favorite. It was maybe two or three lines, and had the trio bursting into the Great Hall and going to town.

It WILL be a happy ending, because JKR's message is hopeful and happy overall. She's such a compassionate person that I think she worries a LOT about our reactions to deaths. Remember when she read GoF with her daughter because she was worried, and at the end her daughter was fine because it wasn't Harry? I think she feels it acutely and WANTS the fairy tale
