This is no rogue group, Scherzo-san. You are in Adstringendum, a place created by a failed experiment.

Long story short, especially since I am also fairly new here and don't know the long story...

You are in a city consisting of almost every universe that ever has been or ever will be.

It's a lot to handle at first, but...are you safe?

Ah...

Hrm...

You're going to have to repeat that, in longer and more detailed sentences. Do you mean that this is a simulation? That is creative, I have to admit. I don't see what you mean in every universe, otherwise.

I think I'm safe. I'm in a park and no one else is in sight. Is there something I should be careful of?

... hey, who are you, anyhow?

You may call me Near.

This is no simulation. This is a real world. And we've somehow been transported from our worlds into this one, like everything was compressed.

And yes. Don't anger the killer rabbits.

Near is... hrm, no stranger a name than Tanith, actually!

All right, suppose I'm going with your flow - you said this planet is called Adstringendum? And you mean people from every world surely, not universe. Which, err, is also pretty strange. Do we know why, uh, someone is keen on gathering people here?

Adstringendum. Failed science experiment, resulting in time and space compression. People from different worlds appearing here. That's the shortened version

You can find shelter in any of the three clinics [x,y], [x,y] and [x,y], miss.

... oh.

So the other tagger... isn't a crackhead.

That's... brr... that's... that's pretty advanced science... Clarkean almost... oh, drats.

Thank you. I'll be okay, I've got some survival training. Do I need to register with someone or anything? Report to any sort of routine?

The year is 2008, miss. At least here.

That's very good to hear. No, you don't need to register or report. Think of it place as a war-zone with people from different places, that are trying to reconstruct what's still left.

I've never been in a war zone before... this is quite a lot of trouble. I do hear there are organized efforts to rebuild, though? Someone must be able to use me.

Tanith, please. Not 'miss', it sounds funny.

I guess some people already told you much about this place, so I don't need to repeat.

It's nice to meet you Scherzo-san! SI'm Ryoji Mochizuki, nice to meet you!

You live in Mars, too? I think Ed-san came from there as well...Aaah, I feel like I lived in such an ancient world...

Hullo. Nice to hah, 'meet' you too. Whaever this world is, it's good that it at least has a Web!

I am Mars-born, yes, although I've lived all over. What planet are you from?

Yeah! Most of us won't be able to communicate without these.

I'm from Earth! We're not able to live in the other planets during our time.

I can't help but notice it's a pretty limited Web, though. I get messages, but there don't appear to be any databases or open forums. Perhaps they require special clearance?

Hmpf. It's going to take a bit of time to get used to the idea of... heh, other times. Oooh, this is mess. Pre-colonies Earth... what time frame?
