You did a wonderful job of transforming the sweatshirt. ANd even though it was unintentional the yarn actually looks GOOD with the different shades in it.

I agree! The sweater looks awesome (even thought it is lighter than you wanted). I also thought that the way the wool yarn turned out looks really cool!

:-) Keep up the nice work!

The different shades was intentional...the color wasn't. (You lower the skeins in slowly to absorb the dye in different amounts) I was just expecting a teal blue like the sweater! The emerald green threw me for a loop until I figured out what I did wrong. (using a dye on cotton meant for wool)

Thank you! My daughters are already fighting over the yarn and who gets something made from it. =)

The sweater looks great and actually I love the variation you got in your yarn. Will the yard hold the color?

Thank you! The variation of color was intentional...I was merely surprised at the color!

Yes, the yarn will hold the color. I completely exhausted the dye and the rinse water was completely clear. I've also used these dyes on this yarn before and it held. (And that yarn batch was multi colored, red on one side and yellow on the other) It never ran and the sweater I made from it looks awesome!
