The very careful dancing here just fills me with GLEE. Hah hah, oh man, this log was so intense. XD I could practically feel the layers of forced civility and thick tolerance going on between them to the point I'm sure a knife would have to cut through it. The interaction here was an interesting one to read through and the language was so well played and exquisite. *-*

I can't tell if they like each other, but there's definitely a strong sense of mutual (wary) respect. But then the moment's over and they just settle nicely down to business like that little powerplay didn't happen. Way to not push things too far, guys. Adored Optimus working through his guilt and not back down (plucky hero?!) as well as Nova's acceptance of the matrix and the current situation (aware and moving with the times).

Also agree with Siadea: Nova's protectiveness of those texts is squeeworthy.
