I've had a plotbunny running in my head even before this mini-bang event happened. However, the relationship I want to portray leans more towards gen than romantic. Plus its a crossover between two somewhat obscure fandoms (Wicked Lovely and Weetzie Bat). I want to write this but I'm not sure how to write this without making one of the characters sound like a creep.

My second plotbunny would be easier to portray as an evenly-powered relationship. It's a crossover between Weetzie Bat and Harry Potter. If crossovers and femmeslash are allowed, I might write this one.

Yay for cracky crossovers! Haha.

Since there is nothing in the rules about no femslash I'm guessing it should be okay. Better hope they answer so you can write your story :D

Either way, I have a plot idea for both ideas.

I'm so sorry I didn't notice this comment! For some reason, I wasn't notified until imera replied. :(

With regards to your first plotbunny, obscure fandoms are definitely welcome. It may be just a bit more difficult to find artists but that shouldn't stop you from going where your muses take you! I'll also allow a gen approach to the ship if you still want to do it.

With regards to your second plotbunny, this community is open to het, slash, and femmeslash so it is definitely allowed.

I was doing so well on my Avengers/Torchwood story and then I saw the Avengers movie and suddenly my two main pairings want to switch from Captain America/Ianto and Hawkeye/Darcy to Captain America/Darcy and Hawkeye/Ianto, the idea of Steve having to deal with someone like Darcy is so amusing and I can easily see Clint setting out to seduce Ianto. I really want to write a Captain America/Ianto Jones story but it seems the muses are torn between the two sets of pairings but the Hawkeye/Ianto and Steve/Darcy seems to be winning, it wouldn't be too hard to switch things around. I'm just so confused as what to do.

Have you thought about starting out as one set of pairings and then breaking them up and putting them back together, or possibly an eventual foursome? (:

Steve/Ianto vs. Hawkeye/Ianto, Dear God I can see how choosing would be a nightmare. :O They're both so perfect.

I was thinking about it and might have figured out away to work in all the pairings. Steve/Ianto at the beginning both men are suffering from heartbreak and find a kindered soul in one another, then it goes on to Hawkeye/Ianto and Steve/Darcy for the rest of the story and maybe mention of them being a foursome at the end ;)

Chosing one for Ianto is not an easy task, both guys are perfect for Ianto. Hopefully I can work in both pairings and just go with the one that fits Ianto best in this story.

It certainly sounds delicious, can't wait to read it!

And that would be quite the foursome...yum! xD

Does anyone have any tips or tricks for getting motivated to write? I've been kind of stuck in regards to finding the motivation to actually *write*, which sucks because I have the actual outline planned and a solid first draft for a first chapter...

I don't know if it would work for you, but I often find myself just staring at the screen or browsinng around the internet during my intended writing time, without getting a single word on print. I usually do some handwriting then. I have a few pretty noteboooks (some just for one single big bang, some just for evertything I write). I find it easier to at least get a little done when writing by hand, even if it's slower. Could be because I like the look of it and the feel of pen against paper, and the feeling you get when you turn a page because you got something done.
Yeah, I'll shut up now. I hope you get started with your bang!

Handwriting would probably work! Thanks!

I've started and wrote a chapter but kind of lost steam which is why I asked.

I know the feeling. Sometimes you're fired up because 'Wow, I just signed up for a new big bang' but then that adrenaline kick sort of fades.

I FEEL LIKE I'M THE ONLY ONE POSTING IN THIS ;~;

i've been swamped with real life and a lack of inspiration/motivation which is a horrible combination for this. i don't want to drop the fic all together because i like the characters and the fandom and ultimately my idea but i'm not sure what to do.

could i write a bunch of inter-connected onshots/drabbles that added up to 5,000 words? would that be acceptable? i think that's easier for me to manage...

I am doing that, or at least sort of. I'm going with the five times X and one time they didn't-format, but I think (and surely do hope) that it's okay.
