Does anyone have any tips or tricks for getting motivated to write? I've been kind of stuck in regards to finding the motivation to actually *write*, which sucks because I have the actual outline planned and a solid first draft for a first chapter...

I don't know if it would work for you, but I often find myself just staring at the screen or browsinng around the internet during my intended writing time, without getting a single word on print. I usually do some handwriting then. I have a few pretty noteboooks (some just for one single big bang, some just for evertything I write). I find it easier to at least get a little done when writing by hand, even if it's slower. Could be because I like the look of it and the feel of pen against paper, and the feeling you get when you turn a page because you got something done.
Yeah, I'll shut up now. I hope you get started with your bang!

Handwriting would probably work! Thanks!

I've started and wrote a chapter but kind of lost steam which is why I asked.

I know the feeling. Sometimes you're fired up because 'Wow, I just signed up for a new big bang' but then that adrenaline kick sort of fades.

You've described it perfectly. The adrenaline rush faded alongside my motivation.

Hopefully you will get your motivation back! I made it halfway through my fic but then others took more time and now I don't even feel like opening the document. Still a great bit of time until due dates though!

Watching episodes/reading books or finding music that fits the tone of your writing can help kickstart inspiration. Sometimes reading or re-reading good fics/searching through fanart can inspire too.
