first I love your post it's so great and I loved the Doctor Rory moment about Rome,

R: Rome fell
D: I know I was there
R: So was I
that was just great I love that Rory is kind of older then that Doctor and was doing something to remembers and not just under ground.

but the kid is Amy's I thought that much was a given? or am I over guessing

I love that part too. Rory's so unassuming it's easy to forget he can pull his own weight and more in the memories/age department.

At this point all we know for sure is that there is a child, the child was in a spacesuit, the child has some connection to Amy, and the child can apparently regenerate. We also know Amy's got some sort of quantum pregnancy going. We really can't say what the connection is at this point though. There's too much we don't understand, and limiting the discussion to "child=Amy's fetus" leaves a lot of room for patented Moffet fakeouts.

How I'd love that little girl to be connected to Donna, and ready to kick the Doctor's ass for what he did to her. Won't happen, though.

Donna pulled her life together once. She can do it again. Never underestimate Donna.

Could you explain why we can't joke about the Apollo?

About the Apollo program, joke all you want. But the Apollo 1 astronauts burned to death because of, basically, fumble-fingered tampering with their capsule. If someone had been found dicking around in the capsule and holding up bits, NASA would have delayed the launch until they took the capsule down, literally tore it apart down to the screws, and put it back together months later. That was the post-Apollo 1 SOP. Nobody wanted to see more of their friends die.

I didn't get that as an Apollo 1 joke, but as the Doctor just being... the Doctor.

They actually suffocated due to lack of oxygen before they were burned to death, but they were burned so thoroughly their remains could not be separated from the capsule.

And their death wasn't really caused by finger-fumbling. The fire was caused because the air in the capsule at the time was 100% oxygen, which is EXTREMELY flammable. So a mild spark erupted into flames. Now they use an oxygen/nitrogen mix more similar to Earth's actual atmosphere so a tiny thing doesn't incinerate a capsule and three astronauts.

And they couldn't get out due to a fault door latch that had been unknowingly broken since capsule construction.

I'm sure it was a completely unintentional reference, but it doesn't change what NASA's reaction would have been to someone scrounging through the capsule and holding up bits. They simply could not afford another tragedy.

"You realize you just encouraged thousands of children to deconstruct historical footage for fun, Steven. Is this the BBC's educational Good Deed of the Day?"

THIS.

You know I really hope the girl isn't Amy's but rather a fertilised Egg from a timelord remains which has been nurtured as then the Doctor can he just dpend few millenia resurrecting the timelord race with the girl and be back in time for tea, angst free.
