We're back at the Okolona house with the children for the first time since our house was broken into, doing a last email download before changing over the phone.  If you've emailed me recently, please be patient.  It's going to take me a while to go through that mess.

Friday December 10 -- We met with the new lawyer and went over the case

Well, it sounds like things are getting straightened out - good that you're getting things like the Certificate of Not Being Crazy and the Letter of Being OK With Chickasaw County DHS in hard-copy form like that. You can add those to your scrap-book...

It was a letter from her stated that after consulting with Anna Brook, manager of Chickasaw County DHS, we had met all their points and our case was closed. There were no scheduled court appearances for us anywhere.

HURRAY!!! What great news this is! \o/

Must be a huge load off for all of you.

I'm glad there finally seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel. Good luck with getting things settled, finished, and moving on with your life.

Interesting article you've got there. Have you tried to contact that particular news outlet about your case? It might be an interesting tie-in, since your situation seems to involve County Corruption and Drugs.

hmm, sounds to me like they put their heads together, with one complete braincell now active, decided *oh fuck, they have enough to litigate our asses off if we keep going* and rapidly pulled the plug.

I'm glad things seem to be getting resolved. I'd suggest you make plenty of copies of any and all official documentation and spread them around your friends/family, just in case originals go 'missing'.
