Say hello to my new friend:
A 2006 Specialized Allez Sport. I'd been resisting getting a road bike for quite a while, but last year I was spending so much time on the road with my mountain bike (which secretly longs to be a road bike, but really isn't) that it was just getting silly. And since I'll have lots of time off in the summer being a gentleman of leisure, I'll definitely make use of it - if I ever got one in years hence, I'd just be kicking myself for not having had it this year.
Yes, this is a shameless attempt at rationalization. But look! It's pretty!
Now I just need to wait for the snow to go away....
