Call me crazy, but I'm really, really, really tired of seeing New Moon and Twilight mentions everywhere I go. It's even a Writer's Block thing now. WTF, world? We are smarter than this, surely...? I can't help but think, That poor generation. They'll never live it down, now. Think about it. At least my generation's embarrassments were interesting ( Read more... )

YAY! I love the Cosplay pic, I actually went through several in searches before I found that one and was all, "ZOMG YIS!" I wish I could remember the artist, but sadly, I lost it. Doh! Anywho, I agree about the chain--what really made me want this is the pose. It just sort of popped out to me, and I couldn't say no. :)

Yay on the poster! I'm going to upload the other one I did, because I forgot--I had two roughs, the fire one and the bullet one, but I chose the fire for my final. We'll see if my instructor agrees with me. ;)

Agreed on the background via the butterflies! That was a tiny little homework assignment to show editing skills, so I didn't worry too much on a real background (just played with the gradients). I'll probably go back to this and work with it a little more, though, because I did enjoy working with the text.

Ooh! Yay blood spatter! It's from a brush I downloaded forever ago--*squee* Brushes are so much fun.

Hee! If you think the letters are good in the butterfly one, maybe I'll consider using them for a future design when I go to do stuff for my portfolio. :D

I don't know Riku... but I like the "Climate Change" poster and the butterfly collage. I hope you'll get good grades. ^_^

Speaking about Twilight, I have an icon uploaded on my compy that reads "And then Buffy staked Edward. The end." (I think they made a T-shirt out of it too) You know which one I mean?

Riku is a very pretty boy in the Kingdom Hearts games. Also, he is awesome, and his story is amazing. *squee*

But, erm, yes, I hope I get a good grade on the poster!! The butterfly collage was from weeks ago, I got a good grade on that too. xD

I think I've seen that icon! It's so much love! haha

Pretty indeed! (He looks a lot like Kadaj in Advent Children. XD) I don't know Kingdom Hearts but I was told that there are some characters from final fantasy in it like Cloud and Leon. I really like those 2! *squees together with you*

Congrats for the good grade on the butterfly collage! Way to go, girl!

Kadaj!! I loved Kadaj, he was kind of sweet in that crazy, lost-little-boy sort of way. The ending was so sad because of it, though. *hugs him* And yesh! Cloud and Leon are in it, as well as Sephiroth, Yuffie, Aerith, Tifa, and many other FF characters. KH crossovers all sorts of verses because of the way it's built... pretty much all the Disney classes are in it too. It's way awesome. :D

*random glomps*

I like the butterfly one. :3 And whee, cosplay! Cosplay pics are always awesome.

Funny you should mention how godawfully omnipresent Twilight is becoming, because I just got an e-mail from my small-town-newspaper-editor dad, with a header of "Interesting...", about... New Moon. *head desk* Fail, daddy. Fail.

As far as Buffy > Twilight is concerned, well duh. There's documented evidence. XD

OMG, that video... I had completely forgotten about it. A friend of mine sent me the link a few months ago and I couldn't stop laughing while watching it! And this time was just the same. *is so easily amused* Thanks for the refresh. ^^

LOL! Poor old daddy fail. *hugs you* Ditto that; I tried to watch late night and Twilight was mentioned on Leno, Conan, Letterman AND Craig. I was like, "Craig!! Nuu!" D:

As for the Buffy--LOL. Yesh, I've seen that, and it's so dang true!

He came home and went all "we have got to see this movie, it's the best selling flick of all time, there's no way this isn't amazing", and I just grimaced and said "I don't think so". I felt almost bad having to disabuse him of the notion. But the look on his face when I told him the vampires sparkle, and that one of them tries to kill himself BY SPARKLING was priceless.

Oh thank god, there are sensible younger people out there left (re: twilight) - was beginning to think it was my age at fault but seriously, what's with the bad fanfiction? (because that's what twilight looks like to me, when I read about the plot/characters: sue check, contrived, cliched plot check...) It really is like she wrote it as that when she was 13, and then redid it as an original story ten yeas later.

Posters - great looking!

And heeee, just started KH - just in time to know who Riku is :))

It IS bad fanfiction, though! Really, really bad fanfiction that borders on incredibly annoying because so many people like it--you know the kind! And if you say anything bad about the bad fanfiction, lots of screaming fangirls will flock you, telling you how you're a heathen... *clings* (And here we thought the early GW fandom was bad. Hell, this even beats those early Harry Potter nutters! :O)

Anywho, it'd be interesting if she really DID start it as a fanfic, because that would make a lot of sense.

And heeee, just started KH - just in time to know who Riku is :))

ZOMG you tooooo? Yaaaaay! I'm glad I'm not the only one just now discovering the awesomeness after all this time. xD
