..wow..if I only got paid for this..

I just spent the better part of the day painstakingly editing something that no one but another Beatle-lover (particularly John/Paul lover) will give a flying frig about..and I wonder why I go through such lengths. I know we all have our passions and obsessions..but I couldn't help thinking that if anyone in my family knew how much time I spent ( Read more... )

*hold up hand* Me me me!

I have one friend who knows I frequent on-line comms about The Beatles, but that's as far as it goes. NO-ONE knows I write fanfics--except one a few people who read "The Story of Us" which I duplicated on a word press blog. But--I just said it was based on their friendship--not that I write fan fiction.

Save a bed for me--I'll be committed right beside yah!

..but even though I'm in good company, it can be hard, you know? :/ I know I don't have to explain. ♥

That's why god created the internet--so we can meet and drool in privacy. O.o

Speaking of which--you didn't weigh in on how big you thought John's johnny was.

..oh. I thought God created the internet as an avenue for porn. xD At least that's what some idiot from "Truck Stop USA" (a show on the Travel Channel) said the other day. He also said that porn was the "American dream".

I hate stupid people. ;)

..and no, I didn't weigh in on Johnny's "johnny". I saw your post and didn't know what to say! xD To be honest, I never thought about it. It never concerned me..but I know it's all for fun, so..if you need an answer..um..I don't know..I'll go with you and say six inches. ;) I mean..it could be two inches..I don't care. As long as it "works". ;)

It's so funny..between you and Karen..I am kinda chuckling inside at this..because people see me very intensely writing something every day during lunch at work. They have NO idea what it is..but I know they're curious..and one woman asked me..and I just told her "I'm writing a story". She figured it out, but..if she were to ask me of what, I don't think I would tell her. Being a Beatle fanatic, and in particular, a "John girl", you open yourself up to scrutiny and judgment..and tell anyone you write fiction about them?? You'd be laughed out of the room. I can hear my Uncle's voice in my head, "You waste your time on that?". :/

..shit..I could be living with mannequins..like that guy on "Obsessions" who buys them and treats them as if they were real.

yeah, even my roommate doesn't know LOL! She is a big Beatles fan as well, and we have talked a bit about John and Paul possibly being involved with each other and she is open minded about it. I don't think she or my other friends would care if they found I write slash but I just prefer to keep it to myself :)

..it's a personal issue, isn't it? It becomes so close to your heart, that even if you think it may be "okay" that people know, you don't always want to put it out there. My sister knows I write fan fiction..but she's never asked about what. I might have mentioned it in passing, but..my family isn't the type that really gets involved in what you do unless they're interested..and my sister doesn't have the love for John/Paul and The Beatles, in general, that I do. Her loss. ;)
