Got out this evening to a preview of Ratatouille; brilliant, brilliant job. I've been owned by more than my fair share of rats over the years, and this is easily the best job animating rats I've ever seen; possibly ever done. I too was delighted with Ratatouille =) (And yay to Fandango to making it possible to score tickets for what looked to me like a sold-out sneak preview.) Just wonderful on all counts: touching but much less sentimental than some of Pixar's, great character writing, gorgeous art and animation with amazing detail on everything from furry rat coats to the translucency of fresh red grapes, an inspiring but not over-sweet message, and indeed, the best-observed, most believable (and lovable!) animated rats I've ever seen. It's a little more grown-up and real-world in its themes--things like the reputation of a famous restaurant, a scheme to steal an inheritance, the conflict between family ties and career--but the encouragement to transcend your background and chase your dreams is universal. And it's SOOOO pretty. I hope it makes trainloads of money for Pixar. =)

I helped my sister in some levels of the Ratatouille game, and I find myself wanting to watch the movie now! =D

:) You should see it; it's high on my list of recent movies to recommend (maybe number one...). Anyone who likes animation should see it, preferable in the theatre. So much wonderful detail work...
