Regarding iharthdarth

This has probably been a long time coming so I figure that instead of letting people assume that I've been ignoring iharthdarth-related comments, I'll respond to them.
The rest here... )

I love your comic, I think its adorable. I also loved . That's about where it ends for me. I enjoy them both and am thankful that both of you are willing to share your talent with the rest of livejournal.

I can see how you would come up with it on your own. A friend and I have doodles all over our algebra notebooks of Jack & Ennis/ Heath and Jake related love. We didn't steal from anyone and have had them going for a couple of months, though if I posted it on my journal, I'm sure that someone would say I was copying you.

I guess I'm just saying that I understand that there are similarities, but I don't think that you're copying anyone by sharing your talent. I think your comic is uniquely yours and uniquely wonderful, and you shouldn't have to prove that to anyone.

And thanks, because those little guys in love really do brighten up my day.

You know, a lot of people develop the same styles...it's natural with so many people in the world... Stuff like this can happen. And if it bothers anyone then, oh well, they shouldn't read them. ♥ Their loss. Don't listen to them. :3 keep up the good work!

Really, does it matter if they're similar styles? They're rather different subject matter, totally. Its not like we're all here just because they're cute drawings. Its the subject matter that really means something. As a fan of both comics, I say keep it up!

doesn't matter to me if they look too much the same to other people. what iharthdarth did and what you are doing now are two wildly different things in nearly all respects. and that can only be a good thing as far as things to follow and support go, for me at least.

keep up the good work and don't let the naysayers get to you. i love your work and hope that the strips keep coming. thanks for sharing your little cowboys in love with us!

[fan of iharthdarth and long-time reader of 'brokeback mountain' - so i LOVE you both :)]
