Regarding iharthdarth
This has probably been a long time coming so I figure that instead of letting people assume that I've been ignoring iharthdarth-related comments, I'll respond to them.
First, I don't deny that there are simliarities between iharthdarth and cowboysinlove. However, it would be incorrect for me to admit that the inspiration for these comics were from anything iharthdarth-related. I am not familiar with the Star Wars fandom and I certainly did not follow iharthdarth until people here posted references to that comic. You can either believe what I'm saying, or, you can stand by the notion that I copied another person's work or intellectual property.
Second, the Internet is a fairly large place. I feel that it wouldn't be fair for me to agree to post a few lines that state "These comics were inspired by iharthdarth" in the community profile if they honestly were not. And since many people like myself have not heard of iharthdarth despite its apparent popularity, perhaps cowboysinlove are in a sense, original, but in terms of timing, not.
Third, I have never once tried to "ride the iharthdarth wave" or actively attempt to appeal to the same audience. I have never tried to "pass off" my style as one reminscent of iharthdarth and I would greatly appreciate it if people would stop assuming so.
Naturally, I can agree to the fact that such assumptions will probably be made, and honestly, I don't really mind. I don't actively "ignore" iharthdarth related comments, I just don't have the chance to respond to comments in general, being that, (surprise, surprise) I have a life.
More than anything, I would most like the people who come into this community to enjoy what I have to offer. If what I have to offer has to do with how awesome iharthdarth was or how closely it reminds people of that comic in order for people to enjoy my versions of Jack and Ennis, then so be it. Everyone's comments, honest or kind, mean or scathing, will always be allowed here. I really do appreciate the visitors here, who have made this comic's popularity grow immensely in a small amount of time, regardless of iharthdarth. I hope you all understand what I'm trying to say with this post will continue to support cowboysinlove.
