I was up until 5:30 AM last night getting to know my new PowerBook. Turns out I like it even more than I thought I would. It's here! Now I go use it...

I got a call from my credit card this morning. Turns out someone's been trying to charge a large purchase to my card, and so they stopped payment and froze my account. Unfortunately, the someone was me, and reading the past few entries here make it pretty clear what the purchase was. I got my account unfroze, but I get to reorder. Yay.

Now I just got a package in the mail with a stick of PowerBook RAM. Sure would be nice if I had a PowerBook into which to put my RAM. Apple, a little help here?

Today I am the proud owner of a PowerBook... ...power adapter. I also get to call Apple back again and find out why my order was cancelled again, even after shipping part of it (the power adapter) but not the important part (the actual PowerBook itself).

Yay.

I don't believe this shit. I don't know why I spent an hour on hold yesterday just so I could make sure my credit card was indeed authorized and have the sales rep tell me that it was.

So I think it's finally official. I'm gonna be a Mac user soon. No longer can I hurl insults at Mac users or refer them as "queer" or a "Fagintosh". Ah well, I'm one of the brainwashed masses now. Windows Media Player has the dumbest interface ever. When I put in a CD, it displays the album art, which is super cool, but clicking on the album art takes you to a link where you can buy the CD. Why would anyone want to buy a CD they just put in the drive ( Read more... )
