So the Raja Puri is blooming, as is the Lady Finger. Presumably, this means I'll soon be awash in Bananas, which is good, because I just harvested the last of the avocados, and the ambarellas and papayas won't be ready for months yet. Next up, probably the Meyer Lemons, which means more marmelade.

The Lady Fingers are reportedly tolerant to 15 degrees. The Raja's not that cold tolerant, but it fruits much earlier (approximately 9 months), so it might not be an issue.

Of course, there's a few ornamental bananas that are somewhat more cold tolerant than the lady finger even, but they don't have that yummy fruit.

There IS a super dwarf cavendish that only gets to be three feet tall.

Now me, I like 'em big. The Raja's probably my shortest banana. I've got several varieties that get over 20'.
