Potions and healing magic? You mean in things like that would work on diseases where you guys are from? [In her own dimension, Fuu had mentioned something about magic being unable to cure diseases, so Hikaru hadn't even considered anything along those lines]

Well-- if we knew that it might not be such a serious problem. [She realizes that might not make any sense and adds] My friends condition-- hasn't really been diagnosed since he got here.

I guess they knew what it was back in his own country-- but they had no way to treat it...

He gets this really bad cough-- where he coughs up blood. And-- it seems to cause him a lot of pain.

It's nice to meet you Myrrin. I wish it was under better conditions.

Would be best to go to the hospital. Even if we can't ultimately help, can at least keep track of symptoms and work to help you the best we can.

Also, am a doctor. How can I help?

That would be better than nothing at all, I'm just not sure I can convince the patient to go. Plus.. I do wonder about what sort of people work there.

You said "we". Does that mean you work there?

Really!? You're a doctor? Well-- I'm not sure how you can help since it concerns a friend of mine. He has this illness that his doctors back home determined to be... terminal.

Yes, I work there. Established my rights to practice there just recently.

Terminal? Hmm. Is still possible to handle. Some things that used to be considered "terminal" are now treatable. Or can be managed in ways that give the patient much more time than they expected. No clue on where this friend of yours comes from, but we'll do our best to find the problem and treat it to the best of our abilities. Is possible that their terminal disease or disorder is treatable by modern medicine.

Just need to get him to at least go the hospital. Or her. Him is the gender neutral as I'm told, but yes, your friend needs to at least try.

Really? Congratulations! I'm sure it's not easy to get accepted to something like that.

[Now this is what she wants to hear. Terminal doesn't have to mean that it will actually be terminal] I was hoping that since the City draws so many different people here from different times and worlds that someone might be able to help him. He comes from a place called Autozam, have you heard of it? It's actually a pretty advanced country. They can power large machines with only using their mental energy!

Gender neutral? [Blinks a few times at that one] I hope I can convince him to go.
