Oh-- no no it isn't for me. Did it sound like I was talking about myself?. Here, let me turn on the video feature so you can see for yourself. [To allay Aska's fears she turns on the camera and pans it over to herself.]
See, I'm perfectly fine. There's no need to worry. [about me]

.. but would he want to help-- [She trailed off]
[Wonders if she's been found out. She didn't intend on advertising that person's ailment quite so publicly. He seemed to want to keep it a secret.] Really, Umi?

Who do you think it's for?

I guess they knew what it was back in his own country-- but they had no way to treat it...

It's nice to meet you Myrrin. I wish it was under better conditions.

I wish I knew some of the doctors here.

Also, am a doctor. How can I help?

You said "we". Does that mean you work there?
Really!? You're a doctor? Well-- I'm not sure how you can help since it concerns a friend of mine. He has this illness that his doctors back home determined to be... terminal.

Yes, I work there. Established my rights to practice there just recently.
Terminal? Hmm. Is still possible to handle. Some things that used to be considered "terminal" are now treatable. Or can be managed in ways that give the patient much more time than they expected. No clue on where this friend of yours comes from, but we'll do our best to find the problem and treat it to the best of our abilities. Is possible that their terminal disease or disorder is treatable by modern medicine.
Just need to get him to at least go the hospital. Or her. Him is the gender neutral as I'm told, but yes, your friend needs to at least try.

Really? Congratulations! I'm sure it's not easy to get accepted to something like that.
[Now this is what she wants to hear. Terminal doesn't have to mean that it will actually be terminal] I was hoping that since the City draws so many different people here from different times and worlds that someone might be able to help him. He comes from a place called Autozam, have you heard of it? It's actually a pretty advanced country. They can power large machines with only using their mental energy!
Gender neutral? [Blinks a few times at that one] I hope I can convince him to go.
