I hate getting on ice and not being able to hold an edge because I have no core strength whatsoever. I also hate feeling like "wow, my free foot must be lifted pretty high up there" only to look back and see that it is only at best a foot and a half off the ground. A passable, C-quality spiral is at least hip level.

Almost caught up. I'll write about my "off-ice training" adventures in the next installment. This is what happens when I procrastinate.

I had a long write-up about my last week of skating, but LJ decided to eat it. I will try to recreate an abbreviated version to the best of my recollection. I will do Monday, Thursday, Friday now and hopefully lesson day and Monday tomorrow.

As usual, I am late in getting my act together and have 8 minutes to walk five or so blocks down to the nearest transbay bus stop. I woke up at 8:30 even though I had physics lab starting at 8. FML. Nice GSI informs me that I could take the make-up lab in the 10-12 class, which threw off my plans of skating both discount sessions at OIC.
