I've loved the soulless Sam storyline, and i think it's worked precisely because its elicited such a strong reaction.
Of course your vid highlights exactly what fandom is for - fans fulfilling their fantasies about the characters, and writing our own version of the story.
I have enjoyed the Soulless Sam storyline intellectually, even while it's gutted me emotionally. Which is not something I expected to feel after five seasons of manpain!

It's interesting watching the vid again and then also reading through other viewers' comments and feeling this great outpouring of kinship with you and your expression of what has happened to certain fans in S6. Because I personally keenly feel so unhappy, dismayed, even betrayed by the loss of true!Sam the first half of this season and at the same time roll my eyes and kick myself for allowing this silly show and this one fictional character to affect me so very deeply and yet-- still, at the same time-- this self-awareness of the triviality of how the show handles Sam's fate in the grand scheme of my life has not helped me GET OVER my visceral anger and despondency with it, even as intellectually I can admire the plot arc and what the writers have done.
And it is clear to me from the other comments you've received that this is only one particular experience among all the interpretations/relationships people have with SPN. But it is mine, and I thank you for articulating it with such complexity and humor and artistry.
This is BRILLIANT, zomg. I have watched it four times already, and I pick up something new with each viewing - seriously, seriously clever and visually awesome and the song is perfect. I am AWE of your skills!
Holy brotherhood, I am totally flailing here. You are a real genius, honestly. I just love how you used the different parts of the song, and the mix of original source, web content and counteragentcontent. There are even red shoes in there!!!
