Wow - absolutely brilliant! Just loved the segue between show and fandom. There's just so much here I'll be watching again and again. A real triumph m'dear!

THANK YOU SO MUCH. I was like "is anyone out there? OH GOD NO ONE IS."

I'm super super pleased you (in particular) liked it.

I've loved the soulless Sam storyline, and i think it's worked precisely because its elicited such a strong reaction.

Of course your vid highlights exactly what fandom is for - fans fulfilling their fantasies about the characters, and writing our own version of the story.

I have enjoyed the Soulless Sam storyline intellectually, even while it's gutted me emotionally. Which is not something I expected to feel after five seasons of manpain!

And yes, that is what fandom is for! Thank god.

I think that's why the storyline was genius - these boys have died and gone to Hell and back - what can still cause them pain? The idea of being in a relationship with someone who changes , who is not the person you fell in love with, is more subtle yet no less heartbreaking source of distress.

Yes, and at the same time it validates the epic nature of Sam's sacrifice.

I am DYING to see him again, though.

As...may be evident from my vid.

firstly - yes what a hard thing to have to start S6 with making sure the story didn't diminish the magnitude of Sam's sacrifice.

I am interested reading the other comments that some people seemed to think the 3rd section was in some way a censure of fannish obsession, while I read it as a celebration.

I can see how it can be taken either way depending both on one's priors and on one's feelings about the S6 storyline.

I meant it as an expression of fannishness, not as a judgment pro (celebration) or con (censure).
