Thank you! I was quite pleased with them. The second one was taken on Sunday morning, about ten past eight, when after two days of rain the sky had cleared overnight.

Aren't elks ugly? When we went to Skansen there was a baby, which totally lacked the usual cuteness factor of the young animal. Whereas the ickle baby wild boars were like dear wee stripey humbugs lined up along mum's side.

They are indeed. Sadly I was the wrong time of year for babies of any kind, but I did see an otter at Skansen, as well as the seals, so that made me exceptionally happy!

I love those - the elks (if that is what they are) are particularly fab. Why the long face.

They are elks. At least I think they are. I think one of them is just about to be recruited for a long trek across the wilderness with a rather strange Fellowship. You'd have a long face too...

It came out remarkably well given that my camera's not really designed for taking distance shots in low light. And that I was standing there shivering! I wish you could see the statue's sword a bit better though.
