I'd park in their spot. If they complain, say "I thought you wanted the other one, since you blocked it off." Or just let the air out of their tires.
Assertive, aggressive, or passive-aggressive? Sooo many choices.

we were actually talking this morning about offering to switch spots since they seem to have such incredible difficulty with the one they have.

what spot are you talking about? the third one in or the one closest to the building? also, i think they have a small car and a bigger car - is the smaller car the one that is always parked closest to the building? if not it SHOULD BE.

dude you don't think gong is hottt?

yeah, the one closest to the building and yeah, it would make sense for the smaller car to be parked in that spot.

lol hot gong.

Could the salt in the street have hurt her foot? That would be a huge reason to tell your neighbors to take it easy :(
You could also tell them how salting the snow winds up hurting the environment, since it ends up raising the salinity in the harbor, rivers, blah blah blah. They should be using sawdust or something anyway.

oh yeah, it's definitely road-salt induced hurty foot. :(

lol, it's already been established that they don't give a shit about the environment.

You could always knock on their door and ask them to move their vehicle so you can get out. Bother them enough and they'd stop, but always smile and be polite. It'll drive them insane.
