For a couple of years a while ago, I had a supply of effectively free money - if I needed some, I could sell some stock options. One of the things I used to do with it was buy rare or out of print CDs that I love, occasionally spending a lot to outbid people on eBay for the ones I wanted most. I've seen her live a few times, back in the '80s and early '90s. I think my dad knew her at some point. Interesting person, great singer.

There are a few other albums she sings on that are not very well known ;)

Buy "Freedom and Rain"!!! One of the best albums ever IMO.

And it's sold. The winning bid was GBP 26.00. I had predicted this morning that if I wanted to buy it I'd need to spend about $50. GBP 26.00 + 2.95 shipping is just about $50, so I guess I was right. Unfortunately.

If anyone sees this CD for a normal price in the $10-$20 range I definitely want it.
