A Heathers musical? I'd lick it up!

My mom gave me her cold. I've been sick for the better part of a week, and today is the first day that I feel like myself again. So watch as I attempt to cram a week's worth of stuff into one post!

-The Hollywood Reporter is reporting a Heathers musical in the works, starring Kristen Bell. Now, just the idea of making Heathers into a musical is ( Read more... )

Teehee.. yeah, I'm not usually one for musicals, but I'd definitely have to make my way to Broadway for Kristen in Heathers. ;)

On the one hand, I kind of agree with everything you said about Serena, but at the same time, I think there's a genuine sweetness to her.. I find it hard to hate the character for any length of time. And agreed. Chuck and Vanessa are hotness. XD

And YAY for The O.C.!! That really was a great finale. I loved that show so much, and was so relieved when it pulled itself out of that s3 tailspin to conclude in such a perfect way. Now that I'm all thinking about it, I suspect a rewatch will be in order when I finish up with Gilmore Girls... :D

Oh, I don't hate Serena...like you say, she's too sweet to hate. She just seems to coast through life and have everything go her way. I think that's where a lot of the tension between her and Blair comes from, because for example Blair worked hard to get into Yale, and then they just offered Serena a spot. That sort of thing. I don't know if I explained it very well...

I'm iffy about a Heathers musical, the film was so dark and the plot so thin that I just don't see how it will translate well to Broadway. Then again, I didn't think "Legally Blonde" would make a decent show and somehow that turned out okay. Congrats on finishing "The OC", it was a really special show and I'm glad you got to see it through to the finale.

True, but there's a musical version of "Ghost" in the works, and I don't really see how they're going to do that, so this is at least a better idea than that...

It's true. Blair and Chuck are so noir, the show practically writes itself.

Serena sure has a way of making things all about her.

So true. What a brat...

She has all the personality of oatmeal.

You are so funny :D

I like seeing more of Vanessa, so I'll take whatever they throw at us I guess. :)

Right?! Or if not a show, someone must do fic about this! I'd attempt it myself, if I could write.

You are so funny :D
Heh, thanks :)

I'd love to see Kristen and Shannen working together :)
It would be kind of awesome, wouldn't it? I've even worked out a way they're connected through six degrees of separation. :)

Yeah, the teenage Lily spin-off seems bland, but I'll probably give it a try... if only to indulge in cheesy 90's nostalgia, which hopefully the show will have plenty.

The only two characters I find that interesting are Chuck & Blair, so yeah, I'd really prefer a sequel with them.

SPN trumps CHARMED in so many ways, it's not even funny.

The funny thing is that one point (maybe ten years ago?) Charmed was my favourite show. But now that I realize how awesome some shows are capable of being, it pales in comparison.
